Mix together a young, genuine couple, a lush, waterfront mansion in Connecticut and the most gorgeous fall August evening, and you have THIS stunning wedding at Eolia Mansion at Harkness Park in Waterford, Connecticut. If this Eolia Mansion wedding couldn’t get any more perfect, the venue has green hills that tumble down to the Atlantic Ocean, carrying a warm breeze across the property.
Eolia Mansion has fast become one of my favorite New England wedding venues. The mansion itself is beautiful, with white interior walls and a spacious tented dance floor. The ceremony space is a beautiful garden with stone columns and blooming flowers. The tent and mansion opens up to a big green space with views of the ocean.
I had so much fun photographing the guys and girls getting ready. There was champagne, snacks, and heartfelt notes exchanged between Sam and Tom. Rather than do the bride and groom portraits right after the first look, we chose to wait until sunset, and did the photos on the opposite side of Eolia Mansion in a small side garden. Sam’s lush bouquet was the perfect compliment to her tiny, classic silhouette.
