Hello, I'm Catherine!

A film photographer capturing
weddings, engagements and families
in New England and beyond.

I’m so glad you’re here, and I hope you’ll stick around and enjoy these blog posts! I blog all kinds of love stories, from engagements and weddings to new moms, babies and family sessions. I focus primarily on my film photography, candid and authentic moments, and intentional styling and unique details.

MEET CATHERINE

Next up on my blog is Adam and Brittany’s summertime Beauport Hotel Wedding in Gloucester, MA. These two lovebirds planned their wedding in less than a year, yet their attention to detail and heartfelt elements were amazing! I first met Brittany and Adam in April of 2017. They were my first clients in my new office, and I immediately loved their enthusiasm for their wedding photos.

We did their engagement photos in Post Office Square and the Seaport District in Boston. See their engagement session HERE! After their session, they treated me to Babbo, which has since become one of my favorite restaurants for it’s decadent pizzas and cheese board. <insert drooling emoji>

I was so excited to arrive on their wedding day with Josh, my boyfriend and second shooter. I started with the girls in one of Beauport’s beautiful suites. This brand new hotel obviously took wedding-day needs into mind when they designed this place. Beautiful upholstery, giant windows and high wall hooks for hanging Brittany’s dress made me a happy wedding photographer. Family members drew a massive heart with “Adam + Brittany” written in the sand for all of the guests to see out of their hotel windows. See a photo of it below – it absolutely melted my heart when I saw it!

We did the first look and portraits at Stage Fort Park in Gloucester – a tiny, crescent-shaped beach that had the most perfect summertime light poking through the trees. Brittany’s details included various pastel bridesmaid dresses and white, green and pink florals from Field and Vase. We did family photos on the Beauport Hotel’s beautiful deck overlooking the ocean and enjoyed the same view for the ceremony. Cocktail hour kicked off with a raw bar and live music from Soul Estate Band. The reception featured similar florals on round tables and one wooden banquet table with curved wooden chairs from Peak Event Services. We had an amazing dinner of steak and lobster (vendor meal WIN) and danced all night to the talented Soul Estate Band.

I loved absolutely every detail and moment from Brittany and Adam’s special day. I can’t wait to be back at Beauport Hotel this year for two more weddings!

Big props to our amazing vendor team!
