I was supposed to fly to Florence, AL this weekend to celebrate my twin sister’s engagement party. Since covid-19 cancelled those plans and many others, I decided to celebrate the occasion by blogging Anne & Elton’s Oxford MS engagement session.
They got engaged the Saturday before Thanksgiving in 2019, and I did their engagement session the following week during my annual trip home for the holidays. Anne and Elton met while in college at Ole Miss, specifically on the Square at a bar called The Library. It was only fitting to do their session on the Square and at Rowan Oak, one of the most beautiful spots in Oxford for photos. Fun fact – Anne and I actually did our senior year prom pictures at Rowan Oak back in 2009. I’ll spare you those photos at this time haha. They included their adorable Brittany spaniel, Benny, in their photos. Benny is the most hyper pup in the world and had a hard time sitting still for photos, but we got some good images when he wasn’t being too derpy. 🙂
I wish I was in Alabama with my sister, Elton, Benny and my parents, celebrating their engagement and enjoying this incredible year of big moments. Since Anne got engaged, I announced I’m pregnant and due in July, I got engaged, and Anne is going to get married in December. It’s an exciting time for our families and I’m sad to be celebrating from afar. I love you, Anne and Elton, and I can’t wait to see you this summer! You two are going to be the most beautiful bride & groom and the best aunt and uncle to our boy!
