Get ready for a whole lot of cuteness with Emily and Zach’s Eolia Mansion engagement session. These two sweethearts brought their adorable dog, PJ, to their engagement photos. PJ stands for Puppy Junior, which is about the cutest dog name I’ve ever heard. I had to remind myself not to include him in every photo because he would’ve stolen the entire show!
Eolia Mansion has forever been one of my favorite wedding venues in Connecticut for its beautiful gardens and architecture. Separate gardens to the right and left of the mansion yield completely different looks, making it a perfect place for engagement photos or wedding day portraits. The Mansion itself is positioned right on the coast in Waterford, CT, which gives an incredible view of boats passing in addition to the garden and mansion views. I’ve only photographed one wedding here way back in 2016 (you can find it here), but I’d love to be back to capture more Eolia Mansion wedding days!
As I scouted the grounds before our shoot, I discovered a stunning dahlia garden at the front of the mansion. September was the perfect time to take these photos – keep scrolling until you see the incredible dahlia display we had for our last photos! Emily and Zach, I can’t wait to celebrate your wedding day soon at my other favorite – Willowdale Estate!
