Kristine & Trevor’s Newport RI rehearsal dinner was the best start to their amazing wedding weekend. I love being able to photograph a rehearsal dinner for my couples.
For many, the rehearsal is the first time that many out of town guests are arriving and seeing the bride and groom. It’s a great time to get pictures with close friends and family members that you might not have the opportunity to get on your wedding day. A rehearsal or welcome dinner is also a good opportunity for me as the photographer to get to know your bridal party and immediate family. When the wedding day comes, many of the guests already know who I am, feel effortless in front of the camera, and feel at ease when I’m photographing them.
Kristine and Trevor hosted their closest family and friends at the Landing Restaurant in downtown Newport. It was so fun getting to meet everyone that night, and it made the wedding day so much more fun because I already knew many of the guests! Kristine surprised Trevor with a rehearsal dinner golf-themed cake, made by the groom’s sister, the talented owner of Flourish Bake Shoppe. There was an epic end-of-night surprise for us – scroll to see more!
