The lovely Huntsberry family reached out to me last Fall to document an Arnold Arboretum family portrait session to celebrate their new baby girl. It was so special to photograph this new family and see how sweet mom and dad were with their new baby girl. As my client said when she received her full gallery, “I am in love with all of these and it’s going to be impossible to choose favorites or which ones to print and hang in the house.”
Arnold Arboretum is an amazing location for family or engagement photos during all seasons. There is ample parking, paved pathways and beautiful locations to document these special family moments. I brought this family to my favorite spot near the Arborway Gate. Despite being mid-October, there was so much lush green on the trees.
I use film photography to document my family sessions, specializing in the true-to-life colors of Portra 400 film. My family sessions have a relaxed pace as I change film rolls every 16 shots.
