I am so excited to feature one of my favorite weddings from last year – Amanda and Brian’s Boston Harbor Hotel wedding! I second shot this wedding with my friend and colleague Molly Anne Photos. This wedding was the epitome of a million moving parts, but Boston planning firm Whim Events pulled this together so effortlessly. While Molly was with the bride in Hingham, I photographed Brian and his groomsmen getting ready at Boston Harbor Hotel. We joined all of the wedding guests on a private ferry ride to Hingham harbor, where we boarded buses to take us to St. Paul Parish in downtown Hingham, MA.
After a beautiful ceremony, the wedding party and immediate families traveled to World’s End park for photos. After portraits, we met up with the wedding guests on the ferry and enjoyed the 45-minute boat ride back to Boston Harbor Hotel. Guests enjoyed raw oysters and beers on the ferry ride before an additional 1-hour cocktail hour at Boston Harbor Hotel. (I snagged a few raw oysters myself – they’re my FAVORITE and I couldn’t resist!) The decor in the ballroom was beautifully done by Whim Events and the floral team at Artistic Blossoms. Mulberry and Elm crafted gorgeous invitations and maps that carefully detailed where guests were supposed to go. With so many moving parts, this was an excellent detail to include.
I can’t sing enough praise about the amazing team on this wedding, and I look forward to returning to Boston Harbor Hotel soon! Getting married in 2018 or 2019? Reach out and tell me more about your love story! catherinethrelkeldphotography@gmail.com
