When my friend Katie of Bloom 52 suggested we do a New York Public Library wedding styled shoot on a whim, I knew I had to be a part of whatever she was dreaming up. Katie sourced everything for this shoot – the incredible peonies that she somehow got in the middle of December, gorgeous Hushed Commotion accessories and two incredible Carol Hannah gowns.
I drove down to Manhattan, did the shoot and drove back to Boston all in the same day. It was an incredible shoot with two incredible Carol Hannah gowns, and SO worth the drive! It’s hard to choose a favorite look between the high fashion gown with black straps and the anenome bouquet or the beaded gown with the incredibly vibrant bouquet and green velvet ribbon. Both were so beautiful!
As we photographed on the steps of the New York Public Library, onlookers and tourists kept taking photos of our model which was hilarious. We lucked out with a relatively non-busy day in front of NYPL. We had the entire left side of the steps to ourselves, as well as the iconic fountain. I hope you enjoy this incredible editorial as much as we did planning it!
