I focus primarily on my film photography, candid and authentic moments, and intentional styling and unique details.

MEET CATHERINE

Next on the blog is Emily and Tim’s Newport mansion wedding.

This day was an absolute treat to photograph. We had gorgeous weather and light, so much time for portraits, insanely beautiful locations and the most kind and photogenic couple. On some wedding days, I realistically get only 10 minutes for bride and groom portraits. I probably spent about an hour photographing Emily and Tim on their wedding day. My day began with the girls getting ready at Gurney’s Newport. We then started their portraits with a first look at Ochre Court on Salve Regina’s campus. We also did their family and wedding party photos there.

The wedding ceremony was at Our Lady of Mercy chapel, which is just next door to Ochre Court. This little chapel is so photogenic with it’s skylights and all-white ceiling with wooden beams. Often, church ceremonies are dark and difficult to photograph, but this little chapel is always a pleasure to document. Once we arrived at Rosecliff after the ceremony, we did photos on the front lawn, front steps, Rose garden, and back lawn. I couldn’t believe how many locations we packed into this day, but the entire process felt easy, effortless and fun.

It was a feast for the eyes and such a wonderful day to be a part of. Not only were the locations stunning, but Emily and Tim were genuinely one of the kindest couples I’ve ever worked with. They were clearly so in love and that connection absolutely shined in the photographs. I really tried to cull down some of the photos, but it was hard to cut some out, I am in love with them all! Feast yours eyes on all of the fabulous scenes, moments and portraits from Emily and Tim’s Newport mansion wedding!
