Next on the blog is Rachel & Bob’s stunning Newbury Boston wedding from last June.

This beautiful couple lives in Chicago and flew me there for an amazing engagement session .. more on that to come. (Update: I blogged their engagement session!) I knew their wedding day in Boston was going to be just as much fun.

They had an all-star vendor team which truly makes all the difference to a successful day and good experience. Despite a rainy forecast, we were able to do their first look and all of their portraits outside in the Boston Public Garden. The sun even poked out for us!

Mavinhouse designed a spectacular ceremony in the Newbury’s ballroom. Guests made their way to adjoining rooms for cocktail hour and then the reception. The Newbury Hotel is a recently renovated hotel, and the new design is so much better than the former Taj Hotel which occupied the space. The ballroom dresses up so nicely for the dinner reception. The design is refined without being too minimal and boring. It was an absolute treat to photograph this wedding and I’m so excited to show these vibrant and fun images with you.
