Next to the blog is Abby & Jay’s Castle Hill Inn wedding from June 17, 2022.
This was one of my favorite weddings I’ve photographed, and I uploaded an abundance of photos to show all my favorite parts of their day. First up is their invitation suite by Champagne & Ink which was absolutely stunning. I love when these details are so personal and well done; it’s a treat to photograph.
Abby & Jay shared their first look on the lawn overlooking the water just before the rain came. It poured for about an hour while we were supposed to do family photos, so we did those inside instead. Miraculously, the rain cleared just in time for an outdoor ceremony. The floral team created a beautiful tribute to Abby’s late mother by decorating the first ceremony chair with flowers and paper butterflies. The entire team and all of the guests were in tears during the poignant ceremony.
After their ceremony, Abby & Jay and I went to the Castle Hill Inn lighthouse. They did a butterfly release to honor Abby’s mom, and then we did photos with the incredible lighthouse and setting sun as our backdrop. The lighthouse is an unbelievable location for photos. The rocky coast, stately lighthouse, crashing surf and glowing soft sun make for the most amazing setting for romantic bride and groom portraits.
Abby & Jay’s reception was in the Castle Hill Inn permanent tent. The speeches were funny and poignant. The food was amazing. The band was absolutely energetic which made for a rocking dance floor. I loved everything about this wedding so much and I’m so excited to share these images. And let me know if you’re planning a Castle Hill Inn wedding. It’s one of my favorite venues and I’d love to work with you!
